Ranked Choice Voting / A Must Attend Presentation (Wednesday, April 14, 2021)

THIS Wednesday APRIL 14TH, WE HAVE ONE OF OUR MOST IMPORTANT PRESENTATIONS ON TAP.

On June 22, 2021, there will be an election, and for the first time, New York will be using the RANK CHOICE VOTING methodology. What is ranked-choice voting?

What we know is that communitywide information, and understanding of this process is lacking. And, when you look at the number of candidates running for almost each and every position from the mayor, comptroller, borough president, and city council seats, it can be pretty intimidating, as well as confusion regarding who to vote for, and how the ranking of the candidate’s works.

HAS, in partnership with Faith in New York, is presenting an information session on rank choice voting, and the importance of civic engagement.

We are pleased to have present Ms. Marilyn Joseph, who is the Director of Organizing for Faith in New York, who will be joined by some of her colleagues for this all-important presentation and Q&A.

This topic is so important and needed to educate our community voters, that HAS is looking to have one or two more sessions on this topic before the June primary.

So come and learn, tell your friends and neighbors to join you, and find out what this is all about. Bring your questions. There will be a comprehensive Q&A following the presentation.

Registration is required. Just click on the link and register. We will see you there. You can also call in and participate by phone.
